« SO » (Sophie DABET)
‘So’ is in perpetual search of matters, volumes and colours.  She sculpts wood, stone, granite and alabaster, and translates these original creations into bronze sculptures. The form spouts out of the raw material randomly of her inspiration. Her work combines force and serenity in order to reach a harmony which gives a soul to her sculptures. Her smooth patinas often point out the raw material used for her originals.
‘So’ was born in 1972.  After studies of architect-scenographer, she left free course to her passion for painting and sculpture, by a course at the Paris workshop of sculptor ‘Met de Penninghen'.  ‘So’ is a member of ‘Les Artistes Français’, the Taylor Foundation and the ‘Salon National des Artistes Animaliers de Bry-sur-Marne’.
