The paintings of Charles DUCROUX are mostly always half-tinted. They are marked by a singular magic, an enigmatic gravity. They are not portraits, but sequences of life, haunted by a certain melancholy. Silent presences pass through his paintings, as on the platform of a train station or on the sidewalks of a city. Charles invites us today to discover his latest works on the theme of Cuba.
Charles Ducroux followed in 1991, together with his study of pharmacy, a training of drawing and painting in the workshop of Jacques Van Moorlegem in Paris. He continued this studies until 2003 at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, and in several artists' studios. Today he lives in Normandy ; participates there in numerous exhibitions and has won many awards and honours since 2002.
