Agnès GUILLON is animated by love of light. She particularly likes traffic areas, nocturnal atmospheres and intimate interiors. Guided by a keen sense of observation and imagination to the border of dream, she tracks down the real beyond appearances and captures colours and atmospheres she transcribes in her expressionistic works.
Born in Paris in 1976, Agnès Guillon draws and paints from an early age. Graduated in 1998 from the ‘Ecole Supérieure d’Optique’, she worked 10 years as an engineer. In mean time, from 1999 to 2010, she performed her artistic training in the Paris workshops of Philippe Lejeune, Christoff Debusschere and Christiane Lemez. She is dedicated exclusively to painting from 2008. In 2013 she recieved the PM Dupuy Reward at the ‘Salon des Artistes Français’ in Paris, and in 2014 the André and Berthe Noufflard Price under the aegis of the ‘Fondation de France’. She is an Associate-member of the Taylor Foundation since 2009.
